About AMPA Consulting!

AMPA Consulting is an independent company owned and operated by Simon Christen. I have over 30 years experience in the Australian pesticides and veterinary medicines industry. My initial roles were undertaking analysis of foods, drugs and poisons for government testing authorities. This involved the use of advanced analytical equipment such as HPLC, GC, GC/MS, LC/MS, FAA, GAA. This exposed me to a wide range of modern chemical methods and techniques of analysis. Testing for pesticides and contaminates allowed me to understand more about the technical aspects required by the APVMA. This was re-enforced from my experience as a chemical and residues pesticides evaluator with the APVMA for seven years. Since then, I have also gained independent experience in the regulatory consulting industry over the last 10 years with major companies in the agricultural pesticides industry as well as related industries for registration of such products as insect repellents, mosquito larvicides, termiticides, pool chemicals and antifouling agents for marine application. My experience covers the full scope of registration submissions required by the APVMA. This ranges from administrative duties (for example, updating contact details) to the full scoping and preparation of new pesticide products with new active. I have the depth of experience to cover your basic and more complex APVMA registration.
